Hi everyone,
Yes, it's been a long time, while here we are now! Most of you know that I had a heart attack resulting in a triple angioplasty back in December, and so yah- things have been a bit quiet around here.
While I was in the hospital, Franklin went to stay with Sheila Sanborn who owns Sheila's Dog House kennel in Cundy's Harbor, Maine where he was invited to sleep in her son's bedroom, a coveted place of honor. She took very good care of him and his special needs, and thank you so much for helping us out Sheila!
We are also extremely grateful to Kathleen and all of our dear friends from Radiant Recovery and the Golden Retriever Rescue of New Mexico for all the love and light being sent. For the many many get well wishes and notes of encouragement, and their very generous donations through Franklin's fund enabling us to hire Jenna Amplo; who comes and helps with Franklin while I am recuperating. She is absolutely wonderful with him and he adores her. He does crazy bark when he hears her car in the driveway. Oh boy! Oh boy! Jenna is here! She's here!! She's here!! LOL.
Jenna has a big heart for rescue's, alot of experience with special needs pets, and she has 4 of her own. Did I mention that she is wonderful with him? I think these pics of them meeting for the first time kinda speak for themselves. :)
The first week I was home Franklin was really quiet, especially gentle, and never left my side. I am so proud to share that he's been taking such great care of me. These past weeks have been a scary time, and my special boy has really helped me through alot.
And now here's some fun with sharing just how incredibly helpful our dear sweet Franklin can be. :) He is *very* clean dog, and does not like messes at all.. while I have been impressed with just how much he's been pitching in to help keep things tidy... doing some power cleaning..
Such as scrubbing the walls and baseboards. As you can see he is very thorough!

He *loves* the straw broom and is a master sweeper..
It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it...and he really doesn't mind...

And then of course when the chores are finished, it's time for a little well earned nap!
